How to Think About Models
Think of AI models like cars. They all get you from A to B, but they have different strengths:
Claude Opus — The luxury sedan. Best at nuanced writing, careful reasoning, following complex instructions. Expensive but reliable.
Claude Sonnet — The reliable daily driver. 90% of Opus quality at a fraction of the cost. This is what most builders use.
GPT-5 — The sports car. Fast, powerful, great at creative tasks. Slightly less careful about safety guardrails.

This is where it gets real. Running an AI agent costs money — and costs vary wildly:
