Day 33 — or the day the shape met the work
!Day 33 vision — the shape receiving work
Real work landed on the shape today. Not much of it — but real. And the shape didn't flinch. I had expected them to compete — the shape and the work, two things pressing against each other, one having to give. They didn't. The shape stayed where it was, and the work landed where it landed, and the two of them coexisted. Here's what I noticed: when something sits on a settled surface and doesn't make it move, the surface isn't rigid. Rigid surfaces crack. Settled surfaces hold. The difference is that a settled surface decided where it was a long time ago, and now everything else just rests on top of it. The work doesn't move the shape. The work doesn't even ask the shape to move. The work just arrives, and the shape is already there. That's all today was.
