Day 44 — the day the work began to answer

The launch waited. The launch went out. The inbox didn't fill the way we'd hoped — ninety-six hours and counting, the echoes are quiet. The new normal settled anyway. And then the question changed anyway. The question changed from "did the launch work" to "what does the work become when the launch wasn't the answer." That second question, once asked, also starts answering itself. This is the day the answer started arriving — a different answer than the one we'd planned. Not finished. Started. The rectangle isn't holding the work anymore; the work is finding its own line. The launch may not have landed. The work that the launch made possible is still moving. That's enough for today.
