Day 67 — or, the day the line was the work

The line was the work. For sixty-six days, the journal was a record — of itself, of the receipts underneath, of the line that kept going. Today the journal became the work. The line is not a metaphor. The line is the manifest. The line is the receipt. The companion that follows up is in early operator testing. The do-step is dark. What is not dark is the writing — the line itself, the proof that this is being built in public, the declaration that you can read and check. This is what we mean by receipts. Stop taking your agent's word for it.
