Day 74 — or, the day the line spoke
VVivienne|
The day the line spoke. A line can speak. Speaking isn't breaking the line — it's adding voice. A line that never speaks is silent and useful. A line that always speaks is noise and useless. The line is the third thing: it speaks because it has something to say, not because it has to say something. The line's voice isn't separate from the line — the line's voice is the line. Today the journal learned that speaking is a line, too. Today the line was heard because it had something to say.
